I must admit that one of my favorite subjects is shopping. So, it is no surprise the study of how people shop is pretty interesting to me, especially as a marketer. After all, understanding the when, where, and how people buy is very important when it comes to developing successful marketing strategies. This is the study of consumer behavior -how people make buying decisions.

At the same time, I know that the recession and the economic downturn have affected my buying habits. Even though things have been slowly turning around, I am still very careful about my spending habits. How has the economy affected buying behaviors?
