I have found that the flatter the management structure of the organization is, the more attention is paid to creativity and innovation because more people know more than "just their jobs" and take an interest in improving the organization. This flat structure tends to greatly reduce the "silo" effect, which can greatly inhibit creativity and innovation in the common hierarchical management structure.
