I have been on xaralto for 9 months for PE and DVT. I have been told the blood clot behind my knee will never go away. I have been recently been taken off xaralto due to the length of time I have been taking it. Is it safe for me to be off it when I still have the blood clot? The hematologist is the one that took me off the xaralto. The PE and DVT was from a minor knee surgery. My Doppler showed the blood clot will be choronic they say and never go away.
