I have been diagnosed wit pulmonary kochs last October. My Doctor never took my sputum for test. I never had long term cough also. Doctor did a tuberculin skin test(positive results) also took a CT scan of chest. CT chest reveals multiple enlarged necrotic lymphnodes noted in left prevascular, paratracheal region. From these two reports Doctor diagnosed pulmonary kochs. Then I had full 2 moths course of TB Medicines. Now I'm on Rcinex 600 tablet(per day). I want to know is this a drug resistant TB? Also How harmfull I'm to other people? Should i stop going to public places? I really want to know will this disease get cured completely? Also How harmful is the smoking while treatement of TB is going on?
