I have a non-displaced spiral fracture of the fourth proximal phalanx in my right foot. I cannot put more than 25% of my weight on my foot, if at all.
They gave me some crutches and an air-pump Ortho Boot to wear, but the damn thing is heavy and actually makes it feel uncomfortable. Is it okay if I don't use the boot and just keep my foot still? Is it supposed to assist in bone in knitting/healing the right way, or something like that? Toe Fracture Aftercare - To Boot or not to Boot?
