I had C4,5,6 fused 11 years ago. Last year I had surgery at C6,7. 15 months out it still has not fused. My neurosurgeon mentioned a posterior plating to solve the problem. Given all the features of the posterior vertebral arch, where and how is this done? (Yeah, I know they go through the back of my neck.) Has anyone out there had this done? If so, I'm looking for details and impressions of the post-op period. And do you regret having it done?
