I am going on the second missed period my implanon expired, Ask an Expert

I am going on the second missed period my implanon expired well over 3 mos ago. I am having lower back aches constipation headaches and spotting from pink to bright red to brown for the last 2 days but my period wont be due until mid next week i have taken hpt and they come back negative. I am soo confused.

Can expired implanon cause false negative pt results?
