I am a 25 year old male and was diagnosed with TN when I was about 20. I was put on a prescritpion of carmazapine and it seemed to do the trick. I have not had an episode for at least 4 years and I quit taking my medication around that time. I know that it is possible that i was misdiagnosed, being that my only trigger was inhaling with a stuffy nose. Could a period of dormancy last this long?
