https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wired-success/201105/the-silent-epidemic-workplace-bullying

Across our nation in our offices, our factories, our restaurants and our stores, thousands of people suffer in silence as a result of workplace bullying.  Because the person doing the bullying is often in a management position and is a Type A personality capable of attaining good short-term results, it is often the case that upper management turns a blind eye on the behavior.

Those on the receiving end of the bullying often hesitate to report the behavior because they fear a backlash from management, being labeled as a troublemaker, or convince themselves that their job performance merits the extreme treatment.

Some of you may have encountered this phenomenon firsthand.

Please give the group some insight on the prevalence of workplace bullying in US business, compare and contrast the phenomenon with business from other industrialized countries, and address the legal recourse available to employees who are victims of workplace bullying.
