HR Roles Mind Map

Create a Mind Map or infographic that defines at least 7 to 10 characteristics and responsibilities of at least four potential roles of human resources representatives within an organization.

Select three of the HR roles and research potential job requirements for each in a paper.

Write a 200 to 350-word job description (include the job title) for each HR role that you have selected.

Cite any sources according to APA formatting guidelines. Click on the Assignment Files tab to submit your Mind Map.

There are many options for the Week 1 Mind-Mapping assignment including drawing on a Word.doc, Prezi (An account will need to be created for Prezi, but it is free and can be downloaded) or from other free graphic Websites.

The Week 1 individual assignment has two parts and asks students to read the material and do additional research to gather the information for this assignment.

(1) the MindMap or Graphic Representation that defines four (4) HR roles by listing 7 -10 characteristics and responsibilities

(2) 200 to 350-word job description (include the job title) for each of the three (3) HR roles that you have selected from the four HR roles presented in the HR MindMap.

TIP: HR roles, are operational or strategic. For example, operational roles include Staffing, Compensation and Benefits, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Employee Relations, Job Training, and Safety. The strategic roles include HR Business Partner, Organizational and Management Development consulting, and Strategic Planning.
