How would one reply to a disccusion in a minimum of 3-4 sentences that says-

I've chosen to write about "The Yellow Wallpaper", a work of fiction by Charlotte Perkins Gilman published in 1892. A story of a woman's descent into madness written from her perspective, using the literary technique known as a "Stream of consciousness" where it's almost as if reading a diary. I have very mixed feelings about this story as I enjoyed it but it also infuriated me. I'll just say I appreciated it and I'll do my best to explain why I felt this way. I really enjoyed the vivid imagery, and how you could imagine this place and its contents so easily, her use of similes and personification with lines like "There is a recurrent spot where the pattern lolls like a broken neck" (simile) or "I remember what a kindly wink the knobs of our big, old bureau used to have, and there was one chair that always seemed like a strong friend"(personification), all of it added to the eerie feel of the the story. The story itself made me feel awful and I know it's because this was written at the beginning of the 19th century and attitudes towards women in generally were completely off especially in regards to how they should act but knowing that doesn't make it any better and while there's all of this obsession on her end with what's in the title, the wallpaper; it clearly wasn't about the wallpaper at all. "The Yellow Wallpaper" was about this brilliant, interesting, woman who was made to feel insecure and like she was touched in the head by her husband who feels the need to constantly control what she does, says, sees, really every aspect of her life, she even had to hide the fact that she was writing because he didn't approve of it, and he justifies it all by constantly mentioning he's a physician. She mentions throughout the story how loving he is and how thankful she should be when he's isolating her and ignores her wishes treating her like she's crazy. You can see it wearing her thin, and there's all of this foreshadowing with the wallpaper and how increasingly obsessed she gets with it and how her tone of voice starts changing. It's pretty ironic too because in the beginning her husband keeps saying how the place they're staying in is good for her and how the only reason they're staying in the house is for her benefit and towards the end he goes on to say how he's seen a positive change in her while meanwhile, she's steadily going mad and eventually she has a full blown mental breakdown.
