How programs can help African Americans community with law enforcement.

The law enforcement officers engaging the black community honestly and openly over issues that are of contention at the moment. In the article, "Attitudes Toward Police" by Rosenbaum & Shuck (2015) explains, one police department which has made strides in improving their relationship with back communities is the police department of Atlanta, Georgia. The department in Atlanta wondered if members of the police force lived in the communities in which relations were strained, if their personal connection to the community would improve relations. So, the Atlanta Police Department set about creating a program that incentivized offers to live in homes in black communities in which the officers were not charged rent. The Atlanta Police Department found that the ties made within the community greatly improved police relations which has led to better crime prevention and an increase in number of cases solved. (Rosenbaum & Shuck, 2015).

In other article, "Race Against Time" by Wright Kai (2017) illustrates how Mr. Obama tries to help the nation as whole with "social inequities with race-neutral policies and politics" and has been a problem for the law enforcement and for the community. Having equality in an African American community or in the United States community is not something that is obtain and have instead engage, protect, and preserve (Kai,2017). Mr. Obama believes in equality, just, and fair for every race and the most common affected race is African Americans. In the United States Police Departments have created programs for citizens to participated and learn about the laws (Kai,2017). Most of the time African Americans attended programs, and is a way to show that Police officers can created friendships with African Americans community no matter their social economic background and their race (Kai,2017). One example, Mr. Obama states that Republicans and Democrats have differences about issues accruing in the United States but they find a way to put their differentiation aside and is the same as Black communities with the law enforcement is all about respect and equality from person to person.
