SWOT Analysis Worksheet

STRENGTHS

Water balloons in the heat are refreshing.

Would be the only ones at the event with such an event involving water balloons.

Keep costs at a minimum, water balloons aren't that expensive

Great activity to forget about the stresses of school.

WEAKNESSES

Don't offer any edible goods or prizes like some other events.

Don't know exactly how many people will play, and water balloons need to be filled.

Lots of trash to pick up afterwards.

OPPORTUNITIES

Could be the most exciting event on campus.

Can expand into a water balloon fight if enough people decide to participate.

THREATS

If we are not given enough space to accommodate the range of distance from the target and water balloon thrower.
Could not be a nearby water supply to fill water balloons.

Could not be approved with fear of leaving a big amount of mess if we don't pick up the trash from the water balloons.

There is the chance that it might get windy and it will be too cold for one of us to sit there drenched in water for too long.

SWOT Actionable Recommendations:

Weakness #1 Recommendation: Since we don't offer any prizes to take home from our event or any actual edible food, we could have a prize of "hit all balloons in the designated area and get another two free throws" Provide incentive and a goal for the consumer.

Weakness #2 Recommendation: After every customer finishes their throw, have a specific person with the duty of picking up the trash before the next person throws water balloons, or keep the place in a small closed off space so all the trash stays in one area for a quick pick up.

Threat #1 Recommendation: Since water balloons with extra water pop faster and hurt the target less, we can fill them up very heavy so that even though there is not plenty of space for a good throw, it will still pop and not hurt the target.

Threat #2 Recommendation: If we don't have a nearby water supply. We can find the closest water fountain and fill them up there and move them to our event location. Or we can bring a hose and find the closest water supply to our event to fill them up and bring them to the event location.

Weakness + Threat #1 Recommendation: If we don't get approved by the school to run the event due to fear of trash being left over after the event ends, then we can switch put plastic under the area so at the end of the event all we have to do is pick up the plastic and all the trash along with it.

Final Recommendations

Message (type of message with sample)

Media (media & vehicles will you use)

Promotions (how will you motivate them to attend)

Conclusion (Can be paragraphs)
