1-Describe the classroom environments?
How are the student grouped? What is on the walls, ceiling, etc.? What equipment is available? Other elements? The environment in the classroom I observed in is different than I had observed at before. In this environment student have more privacy and work individual, every student has his chair and his table. Moreover this environment is so comfortable for students because it is simple for example wall A has only long board ended with drawers in the corner and television hung from the ceiling, and wall B has two big windows, between those windows there is a clock. Also, wall C has nothing except hung board has view names on it above book shelf, but wall D has the exact, big locker, and long table with four cheer for more privacy. Equipments available in this class room such as television, projector, computer, and microwave.
2-Describe the climate of the rooms.
Is it formal or informal? Cooperative or competitive? Accepting or challenging? Who does most of talking? Who asks questions? Praise\ putdowns? Other?
The climate of the classroom is informal the students were cool and cooperative together. Also, Ms.Valko (11, 12, grades in English field) is accepting her students and she let them do the most of talking while she asks some questions. So, she uses discussion to teach.
3- What methods did you observe?
Recitation? Discussion? Projects? Demonstrations? Lecture? Cooperative group work? Reading? Writing? Workshops? Other?
Ms. Valko starts the class with students doing presentation and she made them cooperative group work. The other class is reading, writing and discussion. The last one was discussion.
