Guided Response: Review your classmate's posts and select two who posted on different websites. Review their description of the epidemiological information found there and their explanation of what type of information would be used by epidemiologists. In your response, find a non-scholarly source for the same information (FYI.most mainstream online sites are non-scholarly.

You cannot use Wikipedia as your example).

Evaluate the differences between the validity and reliability of the scholarly source versus the non-scholarly source.

Your evaluation includes an in-depth study of validity and reliability using the two sources as examples and for comparison. In that evaluation, you may want to consider addressing such questions as:

what makes one valid over the other, what is one determined to be valid and reliable and the other isn't, what is the problem using non-scholarly sources?

Your response should be longer than your original post: at least 250 words. You must cite and reference using APA format with at least two sources, not including your textbook. Jarod Hill The two websites that I selected where American Cancer Society, and The Food and Drug Administration. The reason why I choose these websites, because I have lost so many to all different types of cancers, and food and drugs has always been a major in America. There are five cancers that has played a major role in America for the past twenty years. Breast Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Lung Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and skin Cancer.

As population usually someone in life has been affected by one of these cancers rather it be a family member or not when it comes to treatment for cancers patients, physicians offer surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. When patient are diagnosis know what cancer it can be very stressful, and a lot to grasp at one time for the patient and family. On the American Cancer Society website there are plenty health offices that you can find in your local area to provide you with services.

In America statics show that it is about a 41% of a human being to get cancer and 21% of people die from it (AMS, 2017). Staying physically fit, and having a healthy diet can prevent a lot of ways of coming down with cancer.

Cancer has always been around in America in the past doctors did not have the information or valuable resources to help them find out all the cancers that exited in the past. According to the American Cancer Society society- funded researchers have contributed to nearly every major cancer research breakthrough we've seen in the almost 70 years since the Society's research program began (ASC, 2017). This websites shows that things has improved over the years with cancer research.

Overall people life will forever change when they are diagnosis with cancer. For some it could mean well, and others it could be a turn for the worse. Health educators are always finding information to try in improve society on more people being affected by cancers. Epidemiologists also use statistical data, clinical research, and public health studies to find very valuable health information to prevent cancers.

All this information is valid, because it is from a credited website. It is reliable, because it shows information that can improve cancer, and prevent future incidents of cancer. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration is a very informative website. Foods and Drugs has always played a major role in America today. We have had food outbreaks, and overdose use on drugs. When it comes to foods in our societies it is very important that the FDA look out for pathogens, natural toxins, pesticides, and other contaminates (USFDA, 2017).

When it comes to drugs it has plagued our country with numerous cases of drug overdose, and drug distribution. The FDA website showed different links for health services that can accommodate any patient that needs helps rather its regrading food, drugs, medical devices, etc. When it comes food being contaminated the FDA took surveys to find out results. According to the FDA the percent of respondents who thought that raw chicken (66%) and raw beef (41%) were "very likely" to have germs was higher than the 6% who thought the same of raw vegetables (FDA, 2107).

That is very scary. When it comes to drugs antibiotics has become a major issue. According to FDA in the United Stated, 9 out of 10 prescriptions filled are for generic drugs.

That is not good that people get prescribed generic or antibiotics because that usually leads to an addictions if the drugs work. In the population distribution for drug use is really not hard to get. Usually you can get drugs right off the street. Bad food comes in grocery stores or your local markets, and is not found out until someone becomes ill. Through history with food and drug I personally believe things has improved, but can always get better.

That is going to take major health educators, government to come together to solve the issues. Behaviors can be altered depending on drug use and certain foods we eat. The best way to cure these issues is get a control on easy it is to get drugs, and get rid of the processed, and pay more attention to where we are getting are food shipped from.

All the information from the FDA is valid and reliable, because they have been around since mid-1800s. All the information is usually found from credited health educators, physicians, and government.
