Formal aspects:
Essays should be 2000-3000 words, giving full references at the end in correct bibliographic format. For citations and referencing consult the comments in the module hand-out. In contrast to the examples provided, papers from journals that appear in print (most of the traditional journals do) do not require a http-link and accession date. Regarding the document format, all lines of text should be 1 ½-spaced with a separating line after each paragraph. It is also possible to follow the style used in the Academy of Management journal for referencing/bibliography. Setting up the document, the manuscript should have a left hand margin of 4 cm and 2 cm margins on the right, the top and the bottom. The footer should contain the page number (1,2,3,...). The font should be Times New Roman (text: 12pt. regular justified; headlines 3 12pt. bold left aligned). The essays should be typed/ printed on good quality A4 paper, covered by the assignment cover sheet and stapled on the left top corner. Consistent referencing and the strict observance of the format guidelines is expected, violations will affect the assignment grade.
Your essay will be assessed on the following criteria:
- The degree to which you have demonstrated understanding of the question and the topic
- The clarity and structure of your argument
- The clarity of your presentation: spelling, punctuation, grammar and format
- The degree to which you have informed your writing by wider reading and supported your argument by appropriate citation.
- The degree of critical analysis and discussion.
NOTE: please make sure that the company you choose is globalized and it has reached Oman and it's famous in Oman. Also, please try to include examples about the company in every part of the assignment. In case you didn't find a good globalized company in Oman, then choose other globalized company from any other country but it known in Oman.
