I found this article relevant to this week's chapter titled "How to Prepare for a Panel Job Interview" by Carole Martin, and Kathryn Troutman.

This article brought up some great points in how to address a panel interview which is a formal and organized interview arrangement where a job candidate is asked questions by more than one member of the company that's looking to make a hire. Many of us have never had a panel interview, but they are not bad as it may seem.

Yes, you are alone in front of 1-5 employers usually depending on the organizations, there in which they would ask questions such as a one-on-one interview, but a bit more extreme since whoever is there asking the questions due in fact work there and have specific needs they might want you to perform, but mostly this type of format is often used in academia and government or for high-level executives. Occasionally, you'll encounter a panel interview for other positions in a company.

The article has 4 ways to get you through the interview or ready for it which are:

Interview preparation: Don't be ambushed

- Find out what type of interview you can expect

- Can ask how long it would take and who would be involved

- Stay calm

Different perspectives, same purpose

- The best way is to take them one at a time

- Each person has his own agenda or department's interest at heart.

What to expect from the panel?

- May be asked to speak about instances when you demonstrated particular behaviors or skills that are key to performing your desired job.

- Always be prepared to provide a sort of elevator pitch

- Practicing for the interview with a video or audio recorder is extremely helpful.

- Make sure you get each person's business card

Team interviews

- Watch out for "good cop/bad cop" interview this can be tricky to take in but just remember to stay calm and answer thoroughly
