MacArthur and Associates is a business solutions organization. The company was founded in 1962 and is celebrating 50 years in business. The company started as a small temporary personnel firm. Eventually, the company expanded into a firm that specializes in staffing, contract IT services, equipment leasing, and HR services. The company is privately held by the MacArthur family. The founder's son is currently the CEO and daughter is the CFO. Both the son and daughter were brought up in the firm and assumed their positions when their father retired 10 years ago.

MacArthur and Associates has regional offices in most states and the corporate office is located in Dallas, Texas. MacArthur provides services to approximately 5000 businesses nationally catering to the small and medium sized businesses with revenues under $100,000,000. MacArthur provides services through either their staff or personnel of around 20,000 temporary and fulltime service providers. Full-time employees number at 500 nationally.

The company is financially sound and has traditionally small to moderate growth annually. At 50 years old, the company is positioned to make significant growth. MacArthur is looking to improve performance as well as their ability to function as a learning organization. You (the leader) and your team have been hired as consultants to assist them with making the necessary changes. Apply the theories, concepts, and applications you learned throughout the course.

Feel free to incorporate other components that will realistically improve the scenario. You will present the top three models for them to consider. Include your ethical guidelines as a consultant. The report should be a minimum of 200 words with supporting references. Please make a recommendation with your explanation for each model. • Think of three techniques used to stimulate work-based learning. These may range from specific job aides you have used to coaching or even online tools that have been beneficial to your success.

• Once you have chosen three techniques, rate the degree of explicit versus tacit learning that is occurring. Find the location left to right on the X-axis. Then decide where it lies along the theory versus practice scale. Looking bottom to top, place your technique along that scale for Y-axis coordinate. You now have an X, Y coordinate for that technique. Post your three techniques with the coordinates you have selected (e.g., Presentations at a meeting (-4, +4). Explain the reasoning behind each of your choices.

• MacArthur and Associates was established over 50 years ago. The company has grown and changed in order to stay viable. Organizationally there are over 50 years of records including projects, departments, business plans, and business forms. The company has a history of slow growth and change. Many of the changes have been documented through business plans and amendments. The records are kept in storage offsite in boxes.

• The organization is seeking to establish a learning library using the acquired information. Determining a process in the plan as to developing those resources has been a source of consternation. Providing for hard copy to electronic copies of historical data is a point of contention due to use of personnel, resources, and time. Determining the parameters for the learning library and its potential to the overall performance improvement of the organization is up for debate.

• Prepare a 200 word summary on a needs assessment and task analysis based on this week's readings. Use of goal setting theory or other applicable concepts should be blended with the summary. Address the value in being a learning organization and its impact on performance improvement. Prepare this summary as if it were to be sent to the client. Responses should include what is the strength of the summary and what could be strengthened. Provide quality feedback and resources if possible.

As a consultant for MacArthur and Associates, it is your job to create a 200 word (minimum) proposal for implementing education and technology into the workplace.
