Carefully reflect on the issues and challenges involved in this leadership transition, and think about how the background readings apply to this experience. Then write a 2- to 3-page paper addressing the following issues:

1.Describe the circumstances in which this manager was replaced. What led to this person being replaced, and how was a successor chosen?

2.Was the transition smooth, or were there difficulties involved?

3.Choose one of the articles or book chapters from the background materials that you think would have been most useful for this leadership transition, and discuss how you think one or more of the concepts from this article or book chapter could have been applied in your workplace.
