Finding a current event:

For this assignment, current can be anything that has happened since January 2015. It can be a newsworthy event from anywhere in the world. You can use paper or online newspapers. For online newspapers, this is also defined broadly as any website for a news organization.

100 Words Requirement:

For this assignment, write about 100 words explaining why and what aspects of the current event would be of interest to sociologists. The aim of this assignment is to see you practice your sociological imagination and to show me that you are starting to understand sociology. Try to incorporate some of the key concepts and vocabulary from textbook. The 100 words can be in one paragraph or two. For this assignment, you can write, "I think", or "I noticed" etc.
