Farmer Jones owns 49 acres of land. She is going to plant each with wheat or corn. Each acre planted with wheat yields $360 profit; each with corn yields $600 profit. The labor and fertilizer used for each acre are given in the following table. 135 workers and 96 tons of fertilizer are available. Wheat Corn Labor 3 workers 5 workers Fertilizer 2 tons 4 tons.

a) Formulate a linear programming model to determine how Jones can maximize profits from her land.

b) Solve the problem by using both graphical method (show extreme points in your graph) and Excel Solver (Hand-in the value and formulas printouts for the problem). What are the optimal solution and optimal value?
