As a manager, I have discovered that change is a continual process. Just when you think things are working well, something happens and procedures and or processes change. In recent years we have seen crisis after crisis such as the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, hurricane Katrina in 2005, and more recently the wave of public school shootings. Out of those events emerged collaboration and change.
1) Describe one of the changes that occurred after one of the events above. Do you agree with the change? Why or why not? Would you have done something different?
2) What one thing would you like to change? As a manager, how would you work with your employees to effectively implement your change?
