1. Maslow´s Hierarchy of Needs Theory

2. Herzberg´s Two-Factor Theory

3. McCelland´s Theory of Needs

4. Equity Theory

5. Expectancy Theory

Descriptions of the theories are available in various textbooks of organizational behavior or specialised journals. Motivation plan consists of long- and short time motivators in accordance with selected theory. Individual homework consists of short description of the motivation theory and motivation plan according to selected theory. Including your comments and arguments as a manager: why and how the given plan should motivate employees and does the theory valid in your opinion. Please be prepared to introduce your homework in seminar.
