I agree that a company needs to stop layoffs and consider their current employees important assets to the company. However, what would you do if you have an employee(s) that does not react well to change? Do you keep that employee in hopes they will come on board, or do you let them go, with a nice severance package, and bring in an employee that not only handles change well, but thrives in it?
