The purpose of this assignment is for you to write a graduate level paper using APA formatting. The research questions should be Level One Headings. You will conduct scholarly research into the three research questions (RQ) listed below.
The research paper must contain at least 4 scholarly references. In Marketing courses the WSJ and Fortune Magazine are considered scholarly sources. The essay should be at least 5 pages in length, excluding title page, abstract and references page.
You must follow this format when addressing each research question:
Theory>Corroborating Research>Analysis/Discussion

RQ 1. How would you explain the negative externality (social costs) associated with the use of sexually suggestive material in advertising?
RQ 2. Suppose an advertisement includes material that is considered a bit over the top (by most parents of young children) and it includes sexual innuendoes, scantly clothed men/women etc. Marketing research and many companies are convinced that this type of content could help sell more products. What responsibility does the advertiser have for any effect on indirect targets, such as children?
RQ 3. How can advertisers protect themselves from this problem?
