Discussion Board What do you think about this Discussion Broad reply? : This statement is basically saying that the prevention of lawful outside products (from another country) into the US could be harmful to US customers. It could go both ways. On one hand, just because the product was lawfully made in another country does not mean that it is up to US standards. Each country has its own standards that it goes by, which are not always the same as other countries. On the other hand, it could be harmful not to allow certain products from other countries into the US because these products could be life-saving products not yet produced in the US, such as medicines, that US citizens urgently need. I do, however, understand that there has to be procedures put into place so as not to bring anything harmful into the US from other countries. Different countries have different issues and diseases. If the US would just allow any and everything to be imported, the US may end up bringing over infectious diseases and such.
