How were the ideas of gender (most important), class, and race shaped and were shaped by the Consumers Union in the consumer movement era of 1920-30s?
I have to write a research paper on the Consumers Union for my American gender studies class. I just need a SPECIFIC thesis topic about how the Consumers Union relates to all of that. If you could write a thesis statement or something that would be even better. I can't seem to figure out how the Consumers Union relates to the big picture of that era. She wants the topic as specific as possible.
Maybe include what led up to it ideologically/historically in terms of gender, how it reflected gender ideas of that time, etc.
