Traditional production has been regarding the specialisation of employees, mass production lines and machines. Into cell production existence multi-skilled teams, who are liable for delivering work within progress or finished goods, onto the next production cell. Every team may also be responsible for daily maintenance, health and quality control and safety.

Reorganisation production within to ‘cells’ along with dedicated teams, can improve efficiency, synergise worker knowledge and skills and enhance motivation of the workforce for example, as team spirit.
