Exercise: Your Use of Social Media

Over a period of 24 hours, take a critical, in-depth look at your use of social media.

1. Using a log, record your social media interactions. Specifically, notate 1) what you did, such as tatting, posting a photo on Facebook, "liking" a comment, tweeting; 2) where you were when you did it, such as home, work, school, the mall; 3) how long this interaction took place; 4) the topic; and 5) your feelings about the interaction.

2. Examine your log during this time. How does your use of social media reflect on you, your priorities, and your diversity consciousness? Explain.
