Essay question: This essay requires you to watch the following video from this website Bradbury-Lambert Family (UK) Version Supernanny UK (youtube) and provide answers to the following questions. Analyse and discuss

a) How Mathew's behaviours are shaped by the TWO levels or systems of the Ecological theory

b) The impacts of his behaviours on his health, wellbeing, development, and learning

c) The various risk and protective factors in his environment

d)The implications of the knowledge of Mathew's contextual factors for educators for guiding him positively in an educational setting. Your answer should be specific and relevant to Mathew's scenario and well supported by Ecological theory and relevant literature.

To complete this essay, you need to: -

Read thoroughly about Ecological theory to understand how children's learning of behaviours is shaped by their surrounding environments at FIVE different levels - the microsystem, the mesosystem, the exosystem, the macrosystem, and the chronosystem, of the Ecological theory (Bronfenbrenner, 1970).

Analyse how Mathew's behaviours are shaped by the environmental factors such as parents' leniency or poor instructions or his temperament or cultural expectations that it is ok for boys to be boisterous and unruly and so on.

While you do not know about Mathew's culture or his medical or additional needs, you could presume that his behaviours may have been related to his parents' cultural expectations or medical or other additional needs.

If you are going to include those factors that are not obvious in the clip, you then need to support such assumptions with recent and relevant published literature. Reflect on the impact of Mathew's challenging behaviours on his learning, health, wellbeing and development.

In other words, clearly identify the risk factors in his environment. Also, identify the environmental factors that are helping Mathew to learn positive behaviours and are conducive to his physical or mental health and wellbeing, development and learning.

Choose TWO environments that are relevant to Mathew's scenario from the five systems outlined in the Ecological theory which are: microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem and chronosystem (Bronfenbrenner, 1970) and discuss the impact of these factors in depth in your essay. Analyse how educators could use the specific knowledge of the selected environmental factorsin planning for guiding Mathew positively in an early child setting.

Use credible literature in your discussion, i.e. refer to journal articles, textbooks and do not use general websites or parenting sites or blogs. Use APA style of referencing throughout in your essay, for both in text citation and for the reference list.

Use recent and relevant research, i.e. from the last five years to support your analysis and discussion. Use Ecological theory effectively throughout the essay to support your analysis and discussion.

At the end you need to focus on the 4 questions that is outlined above to write this essay.Thisessay need to be 2000 word
