Essay on the Harlem Renaissance

First, think of a theme (idea) that you think connects various aspects of the Harlem Renaissance.

For example, you might choose the theme of racism.

Then look for specific poems, the essay we read, specific paintings, sculptures, photographs, specific pieces of music, specific people from the 1920s, specific events from the 1920s, or people or events from now (last 5 years) that you could use to support your point that racism is a theme that connects various aspects of the Harlem Renaissance.

You will need 3-4 specific examples to make a convincing argument.
