Essay 1:

John is walking across the street from a bar on North Avenue when a young lady comes out.  John asks her how old she is, and she states that she is 16.  After John thinks about it, he decides that he doesn't care and asks her to come back to his dorm.  In actuality, the young lady is 19 and just looks young.  On the way to John's dorm, there is a company called We Ship Your Furries, which ships wild animals.  At the same time the couple is walking down the street, one of the animals, a 250 pound baby tiger, walks out of an improperly latched cage.  Seeing the adorable tiger baby, the couple stops to look at the tiger. The baby tiger pushes the door open and allows them to pet him.  No aggressive action at all.  However, when the mom tiger sees her baby has gotten out she get very upset and begins to roar in her cage.  One of the trainers goes into her cage to calm her down and gets attacked.  A neighbor of the shipping location overheard the tiger roaring, and found out that there is a law that requires all noise to stay below a certain amount.  However, that law is enacted for the purpose of keeping noise down during the day...and this occurrence happened at night.  Give the elements or rationale (ie, use the facts to support) as to any liability that you see in the question.

Essay 2:

Two cars are drag racing down Central Avenue.  One being driven by Sam the Speeder and the other being driven by Ronny the Reckless.  Ronny edges out in front of Sam when they come up near Tuckahoe Road.  At the corner of Tuckahoe Road, the two drivers run the red light and continue on down the other side.  Halfway through the intersection, Ronny hits Pedestrian Pete and immediately thereafter, Sam runs over Pete as well.   Passerby Polly sees the accident, and calls for help.  Polly leaves Pete laying in the middle of the intersection and continues on the way to her dinner date.  On the way to the dinner date, Polly mistakenly walks off the path and ends up on Owen's land. Owen was not at home at the time, however, he knew that the back of his property had been overrun by groundhogs, and that they dug holes throughout the property.  Polly falls into one of those holes, breaks her leg and since no one hears her cries for help--she ends up dying.  Her husband is very upset.  The ambulance comes to pick up Pete 10 minutes later.  Pete has a broken wrist, internal bleeding and broken ribs.  On the way to the hospital, the ambulance gets into a car accident.  Drunk driver Don hit the ambulance near the entrance of the Cross County Parkway.  Another ambulance being driven by Al comes to the scene to pick up Pete.  At the entrance to Lawrence Hospital, Al, overshoots the emergency room entrance and hits the side of the building.  Pete now has a broken ankle.  Once at the hospital, the doctors decide that they can't save his leg and they move to amputate.  However, the nurse mistakenly checks off the wrong leg and they amputate the wrong foot.  Address all liability issues facing all of the potential defendants in this case.  Address any of the intervening causes.
