1: Sea Level Change Impacts and Mitigation - Explain why sea level rise is so important in coastal areas, especially in terms of storm surges. What are some different "hard" and "soft" solutions to coastal areas at risk from increasing storm surges? Give specific examples and advantages and disadvantages of each. Which type of solutions do you think will be implemented in high risk areas such as New York City? Explain.

2: Climate Impacts, Adaption and Mitigation - Describe several specific impacts that changes in climate have already had in communities in the US (or abroad)- (except for sea level rise here - that's Option #1!). What are some possible future impacts as temperatures continue to rise? Do you think countries should put effort (and money!) into carbon emission reductions or adaptation and mitigation responses? Both? Neither?
