Exercise 1A: Understanding the Competitive Environment

Using the model in International Dimensions of Organizational Behavior (text) Table 1-1 "Global Corporate Evolution," and Table 1-2 "Corporate Cross-Cultural Evolution," select an organization with which you are familiar.

Then, based on the organization's competitive environment and business strategy, analyze at which stage of evolution they are currently operating. In your opinion, are they operating at a sufficiently global level, or should their operations be more (or less) global? Determine if the organization is domestic, multi-domestic, multinational, or global, as well as recognizing if the organization's strategy is a good fit for its environment
