EDU5EDL Synopsis of assessment task two and its context

As a member of the school community, you will adopt a leadership role as you contribute to enhanced school performance. This second assessment task invites you to analyse school-level data about school performance. From your analysis, you will identify those factors you believe would enhance school and student outcomes. In your planning, planning for change, and strategy development you will learn a lot about leadership. Based on these learnings, this task also requires you to amend your leadership philosophy (version 2.0).

The specific activities associated with the analysis and change management strategy include: Analysis of school data provided to identify two or three areas on which you will focus to improve school and student performance. Justification of your decision to concentrate on specific areas of performance Explanation of how this or these focus areas will combine to enhance student and school performance Creation of strategies designed to enhance learning outcomes Consideration of the ways you will professionally develop your team to enact the strategies Identification the mechanisms you will use to evaluate and refine your strategies (in light of progress) to deliver outcomes on time Development of coherent focused, and refined change management plans that support you, your stakeholders in ways that empower your team to deliver excellent outcomes

Your strategic school and student learning strategy will comprise a response of up to 30001 words (excluding figures, diagrams, or references). You will write in the first person. The task carries an allocation of 50% of the overall subject weighting. As part of assessment task two, you will learn more about your leadership philosophy, and consequently you will revisit and refine your leadership philosophy in light of the analysis of school data

We break down the 50% weighting of this assessment into three components: 40%: Your school and student performance improvement plan, evaluated against the attached rubric. 5%: Revisit and refine your leadership philosophy (2.0) based on learnings achieved from developing your school and student learning improvement plan (Please use track changes note how you have to identify those elements you have changed/amended/updated your teaching philosophy in response to your learning from the strategic school improvement plan, your ongoing engagement with the literature, and your focus on learning and teaching. 5%: Your reflections on the grade you believe your work earned. You will cite evidence from the rubric, from your school learning improvement strategy, and you will justify your professional judgement about the grade your work earned. This task asks you to synthesise your learning from modules three through five. 

1. Analysis of school data provided to identify two or three areas on which you will focus to improve school and student performance
2. Justification of decision to concentrate on specific areas of improvement
3. Strategy to improve writing skill of students in schools and how this will bring improvement
4. Professional development of team to enact the strategy
5. Devise mechanisms to revisit the strategies in case of progression ceasing
6. A strong management plan to rope in stakeholders to deliver outcomes
