My qualitative study will use narrative analysis to approach the phenomenon of millennials motivations and expectations in pursing an MBA. Narrative analysis illustrates both the individual's experiences and the social processes that shape these experiences (Esin, 2011). This approach allows for the participants to share their experiences through reflection while integrating time, place, and analysis of experience.

Because experiences happen narratively, people can make meaning through the stories they share. This type of design will allow the participants' voices to be heard regarding their situation.

Because the purpose of the current study is to understand the phenomenon of millennials pursuing and MBA, individual stories will become the foundation of the current study. Semi-structured, face-to-face/internet interviews will be used to gather the information from the participants as they can produce information for the researcher to examine the participants' actual experiences (Galletta, 2013).

A more natural conversation, through semi-structured interviews, can help to develop follow-up questions formed from responses shared by participants. Additionally, richness is added by quoting participants (Clandinin, 2013). Participants' voices will sometimes be included verbatim to add to the participant's comprehension of motivation and incentives for pursing an MBA.
