Assignment: Conference Presentation Development: Part 1

(1) 750 word deconstructions (each deconstruction should consist of two articles, you are deconstructing the 2 articles concurrently in each deconstruction) and (2) topic selections 250 words each. These should all be submitted on the same document totaling around 2,000 words.

Overview:

This assignment requires you to select two topics from predetermined management theories presented in the course (classical OR behavioral management theory) and (modern OR global management theory).

Deconstruction 1:

You will then write a deconstruction of two peer-reviewed journal articles related to classical OR behavioral management theory. 750 words total.

Topic Selection 1:

You will then provide a rationale for selecting either classical or behavior management theory as appropriate for an academic conference presentation and provide a conference to potentially present at. 200-250 words total.

Deconstruction 2:

You will then write a deconstruction of two peer-reviewed journal articles related to modern OR global management theory. 750 words total.

Topic Section 2:

You will then provide a rationale for selecting either modern or global management theory as appropriate for an academic conference presentation and provide a conference to potentially present at. 200-250 words total.

Use the following guidelines to prepare each deconstruction:

1. Introduction (125 words): State the authors and title of the sources. Briefly describe the purpose, intent, and scope of the study, including the statement of the problem, hypotheses or research questions, and key concepts of each article.

2. Methodology (250 words): Describe the research design, population sample, data collection procedure, and other procedures used in the each study.

3. Results (250 words): Briefly describe the data collected and the findings of the study including the interpretation and implications of each study.

4. Conclusion (125 words): Briefly critique the presentation of the study, including the credentials of the researcher(s). Provide a summary assessment of each study.

Use the following guidelines to prepare each Topic Selection:

First Topic:

Select a topic (an aspect relating to the theory) from the course within either classical OR behavioral management theory.

Provide a written statement of approximately 200-250 words which includes:

1. Your rationale why the topic would be appropriate to research and to submit for acceptance to an academic conference presentation.

2. Identification of an appropriate conference you would consider submitting the research to for presentation and justify why you selected the particular conference.

Second Topic:

Select a topic (an aspect relating to the theory) from the course within either modern OR global management theory.

Provide a written statement of approximately 200-250 words which includes:

1. Your rationale why the topic would be appropriate to research and to submit for acceptance to an academic conference presentation.

2. Identification of an appropriate conference you would consider submitting the research to for presentation and justify why you selected the particular conference.

Essentially, you are writing two papers:

The first comprised of 1 deconstruction of two articles (750 words total) and 1 topic selection (250 words) about your chosen topic within classic OR behavior management theory.

The second comprised of 1 deconstruction, of two articles (750 words total) and 1 topic section (250 words) about your chosen topic within modern OR global management theory.

Thus, your deliverable should be around 2,000 words (please try to keep this very close to 2,000 words - I value conciseness so do not go over the count). You can submit these as a single document. Be sure to follow APA style and formatting Guidelines.
