McDonalds is one company that has built its whole persona on being a globalized economy. Beyond the fact that there are over 32,000 locations in 117 countries, this company has built their go-to-market strategy as being a convenient and quick way for people to eat at a cheap price - fast food. (Salisbury, 2015) However, McDonalds is not an ordinary fast food restaurant, this company produces it's food all over the world.

The vast majority of its French fries are produced in the United Kingdom; their buns are sourced in Manchester and many other of their products are sourced on farms all around the world. (Salisbury, 2015) It is truly no secret that this has been a successful tool to market throughout the years. For such an enormous franchise, being the largest fast food restaurant in the world, globalization has played a large role in its success. Locations being in a handful of different parts of the world, as well as the food being produced in various different locations, this has been vital in its success and has allowed McDonalds to be the epitome of fast food frenzy.
