DIVERSITY: Research Presentation
- You will be producing a PowerPoint presentation on a RESEARCHED diverse group or culture. Your project/ presentation to be professional.

The project must contain the following information:
1. Power Point/ Prezi Presentation. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE IN THIS PARTICULAR ORDER---PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PRESENTATION HAS LOGIC BEHIND THE ORDER YOU CHOOSE.
a) Provide a background of the group or topic. This can include the group's origin, migration/ immigration history, etc. Provide historical facts such as important dates and events that anchor this group in the world: the bombing of Pearl Harbor; the execution of women trying to learn to read; and , radical Muslims terrorist attacks on civilization
b) List at least 5 stereotypes, misconceptions, or common macroaggressions that impacts the particular group
c) Present evidence to dispute (or debunk) each of the stereotypes, misconceptions, or macroaggressions you listed. Use facts, figures, and other researched information to debunk each stereotype
d) Define the group by its culture or ethnicity based on the 12 Aspect of Culture or Ethnicity in the Hogan workbook (page 15-17) (Choose at minimum 3 aspects)
e) A list of culturally accepted practice methods to work with members of this group...20pts (Meaning: as a helping professional, what are accepted practice methods for working with this group; how should you work with this group without offending-give specifics based on your chosen group. You should find this in the research you do!)
f) Based on the six barriers to effective relationship in the Hogan workbook (pages 47-50, define and describe how at minimum one barrier can be eliminated when working with the group
**Please seriously consider the following points which will also influence the evaluation of your presentation: visual impact, the logic of your argument, use of evidence, the organization of your presentation, and your ability to integrate and synthesize the content of your presentation.
- You must use at minimum 5 resources to aid you with this project. Each resource used must be correctly cited and listed APA style in a reference list. The last slide of your presentation should be your reference list . Two of the 5 minimum sources can be from material from this course.
- Your presentation must be at minimum 10 slides excluding the title slide and reference slide. One slide can be a link to a video. If you include a relevant video, you must explain the relevancy of the video. The video cannot exceed 5 minutes.
