The question: Determine the challenges marketers currently face with clutter and its impact on marketing communication. Suggest two solutions to this dilemma.

The student answer: Media clutter are very high volume of advertising messages that the marketers/consumer is exposed on average daily basis. Cluttered sites not only annoy the audience they diminish ad effectiveness and ultimately do a disservice to the marketers. So how can a marketer get noticed in the crowded modern marketplace. They need to frame their messages to there optimal target audience, engage with customer emotional or practical needs. Making it obvious what you're offering and make it as easy as possible for customers to achieve the goal.

The questions. Determine the challenges marketers currently face with clutter and its impact on marketing communication. Suggest two solutions to this dilemma.

Student answer: Straight from a horse's mouth, a franchisee of a local pizza house seeks to declare bankruptcy; a franchiser asked if he tried hard to capture the market by running advertising at least twice a month thru flier, internet or radio/ TV. So, the number of ads are run by the owner of the business could play an important role when it comes to declaring bankruptcy due to poor sales.
Although, advertisement is not intended to boost "short term sales; rather, advertising's goal is to enhance brand image" (Iacobucci, 2012, p.6). Then, I wonder, why corporations agreed to pay as high as $4 million for a 30- second network television spot during the Super Bowl 47 Halftime this year. Perhaps, the advertising clutter pushes individuals and corporations to engage in such extreme actions to distinguish themselves from others and their rivals.

Suggestion1. As a marketer come up with a web-like marketing strategy which consists of a bit of everything; (IMC) advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, online communications and social media. With time, each string of the web gets stronger and a marketer may choose where to put his/her emphasis on; the weakest or the strongest. But that does not mean to isolate one marketing method from another; it is an intention to make the web stronger overall.

Suggestion2. If the market is saturated with similar products/services that he/she is trying to sell, then stick with 20 percent of loyal customers who bring 80 percent of sales.Treat them right and show them why they should stick with the product and service that he/she offers.
