Choose a Web site that is in real need of a screen design overhaul. This will be a project that you will be able to work with for the rest of the course, and has the potential for being a portfolio piece.

Steps to Success

In this exercise, you will gain some practice with presenting preliminary design concepts to clients.

1. Structure your analysis and arguments in a manner that would not offend the client, but would convince the client to make an overall change to the site's appearance.

2. Use concepts from your reading and discussions, and your previous design courses, to guide you in your analysis and presentation.

3. You are not expected to develop or present any layouts or other visuals; however, you should include the URL or screenshot of your client's existing site and may find it helpful to refer to other URLs to help illustrate any points you make.
