Discussion: Thinking in Sets
You may not be aware, but you have actually been thinking in sets from the start of the course. In this discussion, you will be thinking about what it means to be "thinking in sets" and how this helps you solve problems.
Discusses common set operations and how they can be used to solve problems when retrieving particular data from multiple tables. Please discuss one set operation, providing an example based on the Bowling League tables in your Oracle account. Then describe how you could solve a problem with that chosen operation.
In your discussion post:
• Explain what it means to be "thinking in sets." How does thinking in this manner help us to solve problems? Feel free to find extra information using outside resources. Be sure to include the APA citation for any resourced used and include the links in your post for review.
• Provide one descriptive set operation example based on the Bowling League tables in your Oracle account, including the SQL syntax displaying the result set. Describe how you would solve a problem with your chosen operation.
