Discussion: Parties and Elections

Go to http://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz (Links to an external site.)and take the political quiz. When you are finished you can see which presidential candidate you most agree with on the issues. On that results page, click on the "party" tab to see which party you most agree with (sometimes the candidates take different stands on the issues than their party).

In your post, explain your results:

1. Which candidate did you have the most in common with, and on what percentage of the issues did you agree?

2. Even if people agree with a candidate on the issues, they may have other reasons for not supporting them such as leadership style, experience, character, etc.. Is this a candidate you will support in the election? Why or why not? (note, be specific and use and cite evidence from solid academic sources to make your case - not opinion or general impressions)

3. Which party did you have the most in common with, and on what percentage of the issues did you agree?

4. Is this a party you will support in the election? Why or why not?

Please treat this like a mini research paper and pay attention to spelling, grammar, flow, citation of sources, etc. Since this discussion requires more research and use of solid academic sources, it will be weighted more heavily in the final grade than the first discussion.
