Global business mainly consists of doing business around the globe. In business, there will always be risks that may be a positive or negative outcome. The effects of global business in Georgia has been positive in that It was ranked 11th in the country for exports and 7th in imports. According to the US dept of Commerce, more than 14,000 businesses (mostly small businesses) are involved in imports. This is positive because with more exports, there's more jobs. Increased revenue for global sales funnels revenue into the state on all levels. More product=more consumers...More consumers=more jobs. More jobs= a better government.

Negative effects of global business in Georgia comes in place with unstable currency, which stagnates business growth. Another impact was the new postal service regulations. Procedured of import-export and declaration of goods were changed and created detrimental problems for investors in the goods and transportation business.

From the first E activity I totally agree with the speaker's opinion that companies must become an integral part of the community in the country in which they choose to operate. Because more and more companies are emerging, this brings about competition. With competition, there is a competitive advantage to having a huge community presence or footprint. More and more consumers are focusing on social responsibility of businesses. They want to know that there is awareness about community issues and concerns. A successful company creates a barrier around its business with social repsonsibility at its core. Citizens want to feel like they are a part of a whole, their concerns matter, and their best interests are top priority.
