Observation Options

Observation options include different type of studies and data collection. These types of studies are time consuming and are not the acceptable method or design for research in the DBA program at Capella. However, in qualitative designs accepted for the DBA program at Capella, the accepted designs do require interviews as a data collection method. In these interviews, how might you, as the interviewer, address the non-behavioral and behavioral activities of the person being interviewed? Review your text to inform your answer.

Observational Studies

Introduction

Observation is one of the few options available for studying records, mechanical processes, and complex interactive processes. We can gather data as the event occurs and come closer to capturing the entire event than we can with interrogation. We have to be present to catch the event or have some recording devices on the scene to do the job. Observation includes a variety of monitoring situations that cover no behavioral and behavioral activities.
