Discussion 1:

Part 1. From your completed the quiz results on page 570 of the text, provide a minimum of three questions and/or results which surprised you the most and why.

Part 2. The GLOBE project extended the studies of Hofstede and Trompenaars and factored all the dimensions based upon manager's input located in over 60 countries. There were some new dimensions added as a result of the study. Each of the three sets of cultural dimensions has special merit, so after a careful review, respond to the following questions/prompts:

• Which of the three sets of cultural dimensions do you think you would find the easiest to implement and use in a global setting?

• Which of the dimensions would be of most importance to you as a manager?

• Discuss whether you think that time should be considered a cultural factor.

• Explain your stance and provide what you would consider to be your personal set of cultural dimensions which would assist you in managing culture and diversity in global teams.

Discussion 2:

Identify two key health care resource constraints which are related to health care economics in the global health care setting. Select one underdeveloped and one developed country and compare contrast approaches which can be used to mitigate or overcome these constraints. Use at least 3 references to support and validate your analysis. Citations must be in proper APA format for both in-text and reference entries.

Provide at least three references formatted to APA (6th edition) and associated in-text citations.

In your four responses to your peers, discuss their responses to part 1 and compare them to your own reactions to those questions. Why

do you think there were differences between your answers? For Part 2, compare and contrast the two sets of cultural dimensions and what those differences could bring to a global team.
