Discussion 1: Elevator Pitch

The purpose of this discussion is to analyze personal, professional, job-seeking, job-keeping, and interview skills.

An elevator pitch is a clear, brief message or “commercial” about you. It communicates who you are, what you're looking for and how you can benefit a company or organization. It's typically about 30 seconds, the time it takes people to ride from the top to the bottom of a building in an elevator.

Step 3:  Take a moment to reflect on your dream job after graduation. Consider the kind of qualifications and professional skills an ideal candidate for your dream job would need to have. Check the My Ideal Business Card activity if you need help organizing your ideas.

Share your elevator pitch for your dream job given your current qualifications.

Share your elevator pitch for your dream job presuming your anticipated qualifications after graduation.
