Samsung is innovative with their fast decision making, and getting things done quickly. This has allowed them to become the global leader in multiple industries, such as electronics like phones, TV’s even ultrasound machines. Samsung has overtaken Intel to become the world's biggest semiconductor manufacturing company. They also do something called co-opetition, according to California Management Review, “The term “co-opetition,” inspired by game theory, was coined to describe the relationship of two entities that are simultaneously involved in both competition and cooperation.” Samsung Electronics is also one of the few companies in the world that handles components, digital products, home electronics, and communications businesses under one roof. One advantage for Samsung was cheap science from Russia, which started in the late 1990’s, even now Samsung is able to buy Russian expertise at relatively low rates. Russian brains helped Samsung develop the image-processing chips in its digital TVs and refine its frequency-filtering technology that reduced noise on its handsets. They’re a fast company, so while other companies like Apple fuss over the workings of watch design and Google talks about buying a fancy thermostat company, Samsung has been building dozens of smart appliances.
