Though I've never worked in our judicial or correction system, I would imagine that many inmates have filed appeals for some form of executive clemency. The authority that states and federal government have to execute executive clemency is maintained by that states governor and the President of the United States.

Discuss the different types of Executive Clemency, and what is the relationship between parole and clemency? What are some significant Presidential pardons throughout the history of the United States, and do you feel they were they warranted? Why, or why not? You must discuss at least two pardons.
