What are the academic expectations concerning an assignment which requires you to ‘discuss':
To extract the different themes in a subject and to describe and evaluate them. What are the key factors/aspects? What are the arguments i.f.o and against each aspect? What evidence is there supporting each side of the argument? What is the significance of each aspect? (Cameron, 2008)
